Carolyn G Buschjost

Ms. Buschjost ("Carolyn") moved to St. Louis, Missouri from New Mexico in 1991 to attend law school at St. Louis University. She began her Missouri law career in 1993 as an Adair County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In 1997, she moved to Rolla to work as a Phelps County Assistant Prosecutor. Carloyn joined the firm (formerly Williams, Robinson, Rigler and Buschjost) in 1999, to establish her private practice.
Since 1999, Carolyn has represented hundreds of clients in complex family law matters. She also practices in the areas of administrative and municipal law, nonprofit organizations, corporations, mediation, and estate planning. She has served on several committees for the 25th Judicial Circuit responsible for establishing guidelines and protocols for family law cases and court-appointed guardian ad litems. She continues to regularly volunteer her time helping the Phelps County Bar Association in planning annual continuing legal education programs for attorneys and in planning other events for her professional colleagues.
Carolyn understands that public service is important to her community. Since moving to Rolla, she has served on numerous professional and non-profit boards including the Russell House, the Ozark Actors Theatre, and the Police Personnel Board for the City of Rolla. She currently serves a director for Phelps County Bank, the Rolla Community Development Corporation, the Phelps County Community Foundation, and the Cancer Gala & Co. She was appointed to the Phelps Health Board of Trustees as an advisory member in 2023 and serves on the Phelps Health Personnel Committee as well.
Carolyn and her husband, Ryan (pictured here), along with their daughter, enjoy traveling, cooking, and “foodie” adventures. A favorite hobby for her family is cooking together and sharing the fruits of their labors with family and friends whenever possible.
